The final onslot of pictures from week two: May 20-27, 2006

Alrighty, I finally updated the blog completely. I hope you all enjoy these next pics. You might (actually, you definitely will) notice a difference in quality. These shots were all taken by Tomek with his super-duper camera. They're all stunning and it was very hard to choose which ones to post.

Enjoy!

The BEST dumplings ever!!!! We were famished and had just arrived in Hualien. As we walked down a little street we came across this restaurant and ordered 10 dumplings, soup, and water. The grand total was under 3 Canadian bucks!

Taroko Gorge in Taroko National Park. Tomek and I went on a hike through the 'tunnel of nine turns'. It weaved in and out of caves which overlooked the gorge. Spectacular!

Some shots from week two of our holiday: May 20-27, 2006

Below are some shots that I got with my camera, or that Tomek emailed to me already. There will be plenty more soon.
April and I celebrated our 25th birthdays together. It's always so nice having a joint b-day party with a good friend. She even decorated the apartment with balloons and a "Happy Birthday" banner. What a gal!

April and Rachel cutting our birthday cake. We specially pre-ordered this puppy a week in advance to our particular specifications. It was covered in pink coloured white chocolate and had a cream/fruit filling. Very, very delicious.

After dinner, we all headed back to the apartment for cake, champagne, and presents. There's (from the left) Heather, Lisa, Matt, Desiree, and Cindy. Afterwards we went dancing till the wee hours of the morning at Rooftop.
