Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all had a lovely time with friends and family. We enjoyed a delicious turkey dinner and went all out with the centerpiece.

After returning from the farm I spent the weekend relaxing. Then, on Monday, Cam and I headed to the Kokanee Glacier Park for a day-long hike. We arrived at about 11 am after a rough ride on a dirt road. Our plan was to reach a cabin that was close to the actual glacier (about 9 kms away). Every view was truly spectacular. As you can see from the pictures, we caught breathtaking views of lakes, mountains, avalanche trails, waterfalls from the glacier, snow, and alpine spruce.

We reached the ridge and continued on to find a new and deluxe cabin right by Kaslo Lake. What a juxtaposition when compared to the pristine and un-touched beauty that surrounded the structure! It was a gorgeous cabin though ~ slept 26 including staff and could be rented out by the night or by the week. We also learned that it was built in memory of those who had lost their lives in avalanches, including Pierre Trudeau's son, Michel.

We headed down the mountain and were surprise to arrive at the car so late. It was already 6 pm! The day had flown-by.
